- Accumulator
- A single bet that links multiple selections; all must win for the bet to pay out.
- Asian Handicap
- A handicap given to teams to eliminate the draw option, making odds more balanced.
- Bankroll
- The total amount of money set aside for placing bets.
- Bet Builder
- A feature allowing you to combine multiple markets from the same match into one wager.
- Betting Exchange
- A platform where punters bet against each other, with the exchange taking a commission.
- Both Teams To Score
- A bet on whether both sides will score at least one goal during the match.
- Cash Out
- The option to settle a bet before the event ends, either securing profit or limiting loss.
- Double Chance
- A bet that covers two of the three possible outcomes in a match, increasing your chance to win.
- Each-Way
- A bet split into a win part and a place part, paying out if your selection wins or places.
- Enhanced Odds
- Promotional odds that are higher than the normal market odds, usually offered for specific matches.
- Evens
- Odds expressed as 1/1, meaning you win the same amount as your stake.
- Handicap Betting
- A market that gives one team a fictional advantage or disadvantage to equalize the contest.
- In-Play Betting
- Placing bets on a match while it is already in progress, with odds that update live.
- Juice
- The commission or fee a bookmaker takes, usually built into the odds.
- KYC
- Know Your Customer; the process of verifying a bettor’s identity to prevent fraud and ensure legal compliance.
- Lay Bet
- Betting against an outcome on a betting exchange, acting as the bookmaker.
- Margin
- The bookmaker’s built-in advantage, expressed as a percentage, ensuring profit over the long term.
- Odds Format
- The way odds are displayed, such as decimal, fractional, or moneyline.
- Over/Under
- A bet on whether a specific statistic, like total goals, will be over or under a set line.
- Punter
- A person who places bets, often used interchangeably with bettor.
- Spread Betting
- A bet on whether a team’s performance will be above or below a forecasted range.
- Stake
- The amount of money wagered on a single bet.
- Value Bet
- A wager where the odds offered are higher than the true probability, giving an edge.
- Void Bet
- A bet that is cancelled and stakes are returned, usually due to a match being postponed.
